The Herbie Fund – 2010

Visual artist Susan Gosevitz has supported Sick Kids Hospital for many years and is a founding member of the Herbie Fund. The Herbie Artists are a dedicated group of artists that donate their artistic talents in creating unique and themed art pieces that raise money for Herbie children at the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto. Susan uses her artistic talents to coordinate the Artist’s Corner for the annual gala and fundraiser “Mistletoe Ball”.

This year the Herbie Artists painted unique children’s stools. Susan created “Skating Bears” for this years gala “Winter Wonderland”.

The Herbie Fund 2009 – “Petal Pink”

This children’s muskoka chair was created by Susan Gosevitz for the 2009 Mistletoe Ball silent auction in support of the Herbie Fund. “Petal Pink” was painted with the love of nature and the love of children in mind. The colours are fresh and create a warm and happy feeling. Little girls will delight in this chair.

Operation Herbie is a volunteer based fundraising group that raises funds for the Herbie Fund at the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto. The Herbie Fund brings children from all over the world who are in need of life-saving or life-altering surgeries to SickKids for medical treatment.

Operation Herbie 2007 – “Kitty Kat”

This children’s rocking chair “Kitty Kat” was created by Susan Gosevitz for the 2007 Mistletoe Ball. Susan together with the Herbie Artists created themed hand painted children’s rocking chairs to be auctioned at the 25th Mistletoe Ball in support of the Herbie Fund

Operation Herbie 2006 – “Pussywillows”

Susan has been a great supporter and friend to Operation Herbie, the fundraising arm of The Herbie Fund at the Hospital for Sick Children. Susan is a founding member of Operation Herbie and in 1986 was recognized with a volunteer award of excellence. Susan has coordinated “Herbie Artists” in support of the annual Mistletoe Ball. [...]

Operation Herbie 2004 – “Sexy”

The “Herbie Artists” art directed by Susan, created these unique treasure chests in support of the Herbie Fund. They were displayed at Bayview Village Shopping Centre and auctioned off at the 2004 Mistletoe Ball, Four Season’s Hotel, in Toronto. Susan’s daughter, artist Sarah Gosevitz, created “Sexy” shown decorated with shoes (left front).

Operation Herbie 2003 – “Clotheshorse”

Susan art directed these lovely little rocking horses for the 2003 Mistletoe Ball. Each “Herbie Artist” painted a unique rocking horse. They were on display at Bayview Village Shopping Centre and auctioned off at the Mistletoe Ball, Four Season’s Hotel in Toronto. “Clotheshorse” shown here was created by Susan’s daughter, Sarah Gosevitz.
